Mo Tanweer

“Mo delivered a fascinating survey of recent advances in AI covering both the opportunities and pitfalls faced by schools. It was superbly targeted for the audience of teachers, focussing on the practical use-cases and necessary guardrails for effective deployment. We were so impressed that we asked him to come back and give a talk to our professional support staff a few days later. For the next week, the common room was abuzz with teachers enthusiastically discussing AI and trying it out for themselves in innovative ways. This is the best INSET talk on AI I have heard and would wholeheartedly recommend him as a speaker” – Jon Young, Deputy Head Academic, Stephen Perse School

AI was word of the year for 2023. Mo has given a number of lectures to schools, universities, executives and corporates on the rapidly evolving field of AI. In his talks, he covers the economic impact of generative AI, from labour markets to innovation, as well as the ethical issues that arise and the concomitant policy-making that goes with that.

He has given INSET talks at schools (e.g. Stephen Perse, Taunton School, Brentwood School) on specific use-cases of AI in Education; as well as run workshops for global corporates like Inigo Insurance and Howden. He has also given talks to Sixth Form enrichment societies and fireside chats at Wellington College, The Leys School, Berkhamsted School, Dubai College, and Reach Cambridge.

He has run a workshop on AI for Executive Education at Cambridge Judge Business School as part of the Corporate Responses to Global Megatrends program.

In 2024, he will be designing AI courses for both staff and students at Berkhamsted School, Stephen Perse, and Taunton School. In the Summer of 2024 he will be delivering a 6 week program on AI – Friend or Foe for Pembroke College, Cambridge University as part of their Summer Program, which will be delivered as a mix of lectures and seminars to explore all issues AI-related!
